One of the main purposes of establishing a Power of Attorney for Property is to have a person authorized to manage a donor’s property while he or she is still alive, but is physically or mentally incapable of managing the property for him or herself.
Depending on the province/territory in which you reside, a Power of Attorney for Property may be called an enduring power of attorney or simply a power of attorney. A more limited form of this type of power of attorney can be signed at a financial institution, and grants authority over only specified accounts held within that institution.
We can act as Power of Attorney or mandate to manage the financial assets of an individual who has become incapable. We can also act in the interests of minors without suitable family members to handle their affairs.
We offer confidence in knowing that experts are attending to the complete administration of one’s financial affairs, providing regular reporting, income collection, bill payments and income tax preparation.
