Barend Janssens is the Head of Royal Bank of Canada's Wealth Management Emerging Markets business, serving clients with a brokerage and advisory suite of products in Asia, EMEA and Latin America. He is based in Singapore.

Previous to joining RBC, Barend had a career spanning 22 years in ABN AMRO Bank. His focus has been on wholesale and private banking, with leadership roles in a variety of the bank's businesses in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In his most recent job in ABN AMRO he was heading the Asian Private Banking business.

Barend is a Dutch citizen and holds an MBA in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
