Water Stewardship

The RBC Blue Water Project™ is a wide-ranging, multi-year programme to help foster a culture of water stewardship, so that people have clean fresh water today and tomorrow. The centrepiece of the RBC Blue Water Project™ is a ten-year, $50 million grant programme supporting not-for-profit organizations that protect watersheds and provide or ensure access to clean drinking water. Since 2007, RBC has committed more than $32 million to more than 450 organizations worldwide.

In the British Isles, three organisations have received a grant - the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, the National Trust for Jersey, and the Woodland Trust .

RBC Blue Water Roof Garden

In November 2012, RBC announced its partnership with Olympic Park designer Nigel Dunnett and The Landscape Agency to present the "RBC Blue Water Roof Garden" at the 2013 RHS Chelsea Flower Show (21 - 25 May 2013). This is the third successive year that the team has collaborated, following the RBC Blue Water Garden (2012) and the RBC New Wild Garden (2011), which were both awarded Silver-Gilt medals.

The design of the RBC Blue Water Roof Garden aims to address two important issues - the need for effective urban water management, and for more green spaces in built-up areas - keeping with the goals of the RBC Blue Water Project™ .
