Celebrating a legacy on the golf course

Golfer

At RBC Wealth Management, we believe that golf can be a lot like investing. Whether it’s making it to the PGA Tour or reaching your financial goals, it takes time, effort and commitment to make it happen. But that very preparation gives you the confidence you need to know that when the time comes, you’ll be ready.

49th annual RBC Heritage

Played over the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island since 1969, the RBC Heritage is celebrating its 49th year April 10-16, 2017.

RBC is the proud title sponsor of this storied championship that’s helped define the legacy of some of the game’s best. From Nicklaus to Price, the list of past winners of the RBC Heritage is a veritable who’s who of golf royalty. Team RBC’s Jim Furyk triumphed on these hallowed links in 2010 and 2015, while fellow Team RBC Ambassadors Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, and Brandt Snedeker have also proudly worn the red plaid, winning over fans and golfers alike with exhilarating victories.

The Heritage Classic Foundation, general sponsor of the tournament, distributes the proceeds from the tournament to hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Since it was founded as a 501(c)(3) in 1987, the Foundation has donated $35 million to people in need.

Meet Team RBC

We are proud to support golf through high-profile relationships with the PGA Tour and Golf Canada and through our ongoing sponsorship of Team RBC. RBC Wealth Management is the official banking and financial services partner to such golf professionals as Graham DeLaet, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, Adam Hadwin, David Hearn, Brooke Henderson, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Ryan Palmer, Morgan Pressel, Alena Sharp, Brandt Snedeker and Nick Taylor.

As part of RBC’s support of golf and our longstanding focus on environmental sustainability, we are committed to exploring sustainability issues within the golf industry. We have identified two priority areas:

  1. Reducing the environmental impacts of RBC sponsored golf tournaments: In conjunction with our partners and event suppliers, we continue to apply best practices to reduce the environmental impacts of RBC sponsored golf events. We are committed to reducing and diverting waste from landfill and reducing the environmental impacts associated with event transportation.
  2. Supporting environmentally responsible approaches to golf course management: Many golf courses are already embracing environmentally-responsible approaches to golf course design, construction and maintenance that are good for the environment and for the bottom line. RBC is committed to supporting the transition to more responsible approaches to golf course management.
