As Regional Director, Chris Oosthuizen oversees 15 branches across British Columbia and a team of investment advisors and portfolio managers and support staff who provide customized advisory and discretionary wealth management solutions to affluent private clients and institutions.
Total client assets exceed $42 Billion in the region.
Mr. Oosthuizen joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1993 as an investment advisor in Regina. From 1996 to 2002, he assumed both assistant branch manager and branch manager positions in B.C.’s Fraser Valley and in downtown Vancouver. In 2003, Mr. Oosthuizen was appointed to the role of regional director for B.C. and from 2006 to 2014, the Alberta region was added to his responsibility.
Mr. Oosthuizen holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, as well as two Honours Baccalaureate degrees (B.Sc. and Business Administration), from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa).
Mr. Oosthuizen was a board member of the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation for many years and currently still sits on the finance committee for the foundation.
