A graduate from HEC, University of Montreal’s Business School, Paul started his career an as investment advisor in Montreal in 1982. He worked with McNeil Mantha in 1984 which was acquired by RBC Dominion Securities in 1991. In 1992 he became an assistant branch manager. He then moved to Toronto the following year to head the new IA training program. Two years later he moved back to Montreal where he managed many different branches including, Laval, QC., 1000 DLG and PVM. In 2003 he was appointed regional manager for Quebec and the Atlantic which was divided into two regions in November 2014. He now exclusively oversees Quebec.
Mr. Balthazard sits on the IIROC Quebec district board and volunteers his time as co-chair for the MS Golf Challenge, is Chair of the Gemini Foundation Golf & Bike Tournament and is a member of the University of Montreal’s MED School Fundraising Cabinet. He also supports bone marrow transplant research.
Mr. Balthazard has been married for 21 years and has three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, golfing, biking and is currently learning to the play the piano.
