As this number increases along with life expectancy, so do the complexities associated with aging, including health-related issues.&#8221;<\/blockquote><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rbcwm-column col-lg-6\"><div class=\"wrap\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As President and CEO of the Royal Trust Corporation of Canada and The Royal Trust Company, Leanne Kaufman is responsible for the strategy and overall management of the business, which provides wealth protection and transfer solutions across generations to high-net-worth Canadian families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leanne serves as a director on the Royal Trust Board, and as a member of the RBC Wealth Management Canada Operating Committee. She is a lawyer by profession and brings more than 20 years of experience, knowledge, and client-centric focus to the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leanne joined RBC Royal Trust in 1999 as a Trust Officer, prior to which she was a lawyer practicing commercial litigation. Since her initial role, she has continued to provide in-depth solutions for clients and their families, and held various leadership roles within the company before being appointed as President in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leanne earned her Bachelor of Laws from Queen\u2019s University and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, where she is a former Adjunct Professor. She has been an author and is a sought-after contributor to numerous industry publications on the subject of estates and trusts. Her publications include the fourth edition of <em>The Executor\u2019s Handbook<\/em> published by CCH, and contributions to the <em>Financial Post<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leanne is the host of RBC Wealth Management Canada\u2019s <a href=\"\/en-ca\/podcasts\/matters-beyond-wealth\"><em>Matters Beyond Wealth<\/em><\/a>, a podcast that offers estate planning, healthy aging and wealth insights to help Canadians plan for today and their future.
