Masterpiece London 2018<\/a> at the end of June with a special exhibition by Canadian artists Shannon Bool and Mark Lewis.<\/p>\n\n\n\nNow living in Berlin and London respectively, these artists bring an investigative, contemporary lens to the role of the antiquity in our contemporary society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both artists are represented within the RBC Art Collection (est. 1929), which is headquartered in Toronto, Canada and focuses on Canadian artists living nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Selected specifically for the Masterpiece London Art Fair 2018, the works on view have been curated with an interest in their ability to revive and re-invent contemporary conversations around the legacy of art, history and objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In our fifth year as sponsor of Masterpiece London, held from June 28 to July 4, the collection exhibited in the RBC Lounge reminds us that art has the power to create new perspectives and challenge existing ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First held in 2010, Masterpiece London is held at the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea each summer. It has since become the leading international cross-collecting fair for art, antiques and design and a must-attend event for collectors, exhibitors and curators in the art and auction world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
