Richard provides mainly retired high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with financial planning advice. He specialises in pensions, estate and inheritance tax planning and investments. He also manages the five-strong Financial Planning team in Penrith, which consists of local experts helping their local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richard has been in the financial services industry for 37 years, beginning with nine years in the banking sector before turning to financial planning. He spent 10 years with Standard Life which included being part of the innovative Wealth Management Division and the development of asset allocation driven pensions and investment advice. He then worked at HSBC as first an IFA and then as a Private Banker until 2015 before rejoining Standard Life and their 1825 advice business. He joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in July 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richard was one of the first cohort of 500 people in the UK to be awarded Chartered Financial Planning status in 2006 from the Chartered Insurance Institute. He also holds the rare distinction of holding the Chartered Wealth Manager status from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment as well as being a fellow of both professional bodies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
