He advises on a range of issues such as wealth preservation and helping business owners plan for retirement. A particular area of expertise is intergenerational tax planning, cascading wealth from older to younger family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alan began his financial services career in 2000 at Abbey National as a Financial Advisor before taking on the same role at Bradford &amp; Bingley in 2002. Two years later he joined Argyle Consulting Limited, where he became a Chartered Financial Adviser and remained there until joining RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since becoming Head of Financial Planning in 2019, the financial planning team has become a key driver in the success of the Glasgow office, which is one of the fastest growing in the RBC Brewin Dolphin group. He is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
