MINNEAPOLIS (April 20, 2015) – RBC Wealth Managemet-U.S. today announced it has launched a new Unit Investment Trust (UIT) designed to give clients access to a pool of dividend growth stocks in a single purchase.

UITs are fixed portfolios of securities – typically stocks or bonds -- offered to investors for specific periods of time. The securities in the UIT remain static for the life of the trust.

“The securities held in a UIT are transparent which gives investors the comfort of knowing what they own for the life of their investment,” said Matt Boardman, Head of Fixed Income for RBC Wealth Management-U.S. “Investors have become increasingly interested in diversified portfolios that have a specific strategy, are transparent and liquid.”

This is the fourth UIT from RBC Wealth Management-U.S. Each UIT is designed around a specific equity strategy. The first private label UIT, launched in May 2014, focused on dividend growth.

The equity strategies adopted by each of the UITs are devised by RBC Wealth Management’s Portfolio Advisory Group, a team of highly specialized equity and fixed-income portfolio strategists that conducts ongoing research and analysis on a wide spectrum of investment opportunities.

“UITs aren’t appropriate for all investors, but through this series of RBC Wealth Management private-label UITs, we are able to offer clients for whom it does make sense a unique investment opportunity,” Boardman said.

The UIT is available only to clients of RBC Wealth Management-U.S. and to clients of RBC Correspondent and Advisor Services.

Investors should consider the investment objectives, risks, and charges and expenses of a fund carefully before investing.
