include skill development for job readiness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programs that do not have clear pathways to sustained employment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salaries of internships at other for-profit companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"drive\"><strong>Drive more inclusive prosperity in our communities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Widening disparities and concerns around affordability are impacting the resilience of our communities. We aim to support community investment partners that address this imbalance, either by responding to local needs or by addressing issues at a systemic level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We intend to support programs that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create stability by addressing food security, housing stability and access to health services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase financial well-being by helping people build financial confidence and manage their current and future financial situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase accessibility of community spaces by funding the physical accessibility of newly constructed buildings, and\/or retrofitting of existing spaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, we support programs that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improve long-term access to healthy and affordable food to alleviate pressure on short-term emergency supports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve access to housing that is safe, secure, and affordable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable more inclusive health outcomes by removing barriers to relevant health supports and services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help people improve financial confidence through tailored financial education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate healthy financial habits through personalized coaching and counselling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help increase access to available benefits and tax credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address unique barriers to appropriate financial services faced by specific populations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create easier access to buildings through installation of ramps, lifts and automated doors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create accessible restrooms, kitchens and workspaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide wayfinding signage or Tactile Walking Surface Indicators (TSWIs) in flooring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support outdoor spaces such as fully accessible trails, playgrounds or courtyards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accommodate wheelchairs and other assistive devices comfortably, such as by widening doorways and hallways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update lighting and acoustics, to support individuals with visual or auditory impairments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide equipment designed to create accessible recreation or cultural experiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will not support:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Long-term relief programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generic education or awareness programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large-scale housing development projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Land or easement purchase costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hospital equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General disease-based research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public and\/or partisan advocacy campaigns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct payments to individuals or businesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generalized projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updates to single-family dwellings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paving of parking lots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General equipment purchases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"support\"><strong>Support the transition to a net-zero economy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Climate change and biodiversity loss are two of the biggest environmental challenges facing the planet, and the impact people are having on the environment is placing us on an unsustainable path. With this perspective in mind, we aim to support community investment partners that are helping to advance positive environmental change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We intend to support programs that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advance climate change mitigation solutions that help reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs), boost energy efficiency and\/or promote decarbonization, particularly in the highest-emitting sectors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advance nature-based solutions that work with nature, given its inherent ability to sequester carbon and contribute to climate adaptation and ecosystem resilience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase environmental sustainability of community spaces by funding capital improvements to reduce the carbon footprint or increase energy efficiency of a newly constructed buildings and\/or existing spaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, we support programs that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support capacity to drive clean technology solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build capacity and provide services to help facilitate the decarbonization of buildings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote environmental sustainability across the food supply chain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the transition to environmentally sustainable transportation options<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce waste and prolong the lifecycle of materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shift consumption patterns and lifestyle choices towards more sustainable ways of living<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conserve areas that are important for biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services, including those that generate third-party verified carbon credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advance best management practices on working landscapes including farmlands, ranchlands and forests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhance green infrastructure in urban settings to help address environmental challenges and support climate adaptation and resilience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create experiential learning opportunities that foster understanding, connection and stewardship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the use of renewable energy such as through installing solar panels to generate energy from the sun<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support energy id=\"h-organizations-must-have-the-following\">Organizations must have the following<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>501(c)3 registered public charity status for a minimum of three years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A minimum annual operating budget of $100,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Located in a community where RBC Wealth Management has a business presence and has active community Corporate sponsorships complement the work we fund with grants from RBC Foundation USA. Sponsorships are separate from foundation grants because they include non-charitable components, such as cultural, educational or entertainment benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-sponsorship-guidelines\">Sponsorship guidelines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>RBC Wealth Management sponsorships typically meet the following guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 80 percent of event proceeds must benefit a qualified charitable organization or effort<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer premier visibility and opportunity for client or employee entertainment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align with our business or marketing objectives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Priority is given to organizations and events with which our employees are actively involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Priority is given to organizations and programs that fit our three primary corporate funding focus areas: arts and culture, human services and youth education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All sponsorships are evaluated to make sure they meet outlined objectives and must be endorsed by an employee.
