Personne ne s\u2019\u00e9tait renseign\u00e9 sur la possibilit\u00e9 de louer les terres \u00e0 des fins de d\u00e9veloppement commercial, et la communaut\u00e9 souhaitait des changements \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-excellente-occasion-a-ne-pas-manquer\">Une excellente occasion \u00e0 ne pas manquer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour ouvrir le bal, les leaders pensaient qu\u2019il fallait trouver un premier locataire. Finning, un fournisseur d\u2019\u00e9quipement de construction \u00e9tabli au m\u00eame endroit depuis 35&nbsp;ans, d\u00e9sirait s\u2019implanter sur le territoire de la Premi\u00e8re Nation We Wai Kai. La communaut\u00e9 y a vu une occasion formidable \u00e0 saisir. L\u2019entreprise, qui exer\u00e7ait ses activit\u00e9s dans un immeuble v\u00e9tuste, cherchait un emplacement sur mesure (un type d\u2019op\u00e9ration immobili\u00e8re entreprise par un propri\u00e9taire ou un promoteur, qui construit un b\u00e2timent \u00e0 vendre ou \u00e0 louer selon les besoins particuliers de l\u2019acheteur ou du locataire). Finning a obtenu un financement de RBC pour ce projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9but de cette construction a marqu\u00e9 un tournant pour la Premi\u00e8re Nation We&nbsp;Wai&nbsp;Kai. \u00ab&nbsp;Le t\u00e9l\u00e9phone s\u2019est mis \u00e0 sonner d\u00e8s que nous avons commenc\u00e9 la construction. Les gens voulaient savoir si l\u2019immeuble \u00e9tait \u00e0 louer. La pr\u00e9sence sur la r\u00e9serve de plus en plus d\u2019entreprises qui nous procurent des revenus nous aide \u00e0 soutenir les [\u00e9tudes] postsecondaires de nos jeunes&nbsp;\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise le chef Chickite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le financement du projet de construction sur mesure a donn\u00e9 \u00e0 la bande la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019augmenter ses revenus et contribue \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de ses projets, notamment la poursuite d\u2019\u00e9tudes. L\u2019adage \u00ab&nbsp;l\u2019offre cr\u00e9e la demande&nbsp;\u00bb s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 pour la Premi\u00e8re Nation We Wai Kai, et l\u2019avenir de la communaut\u00e9 s\u2019annonce
