MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (May 24, 2018) - RBC Wealth Management-U.S. is expanding its commitment to military service members through a new partnership with Hirepurpose, a New York-based organization that connects military veterans with civilian jobs.
“Military men and women bring discipline, leadership, teamwork, integrity and many other skillsets that employers would be lucky to have,” said Pat Vaughan, east division director of RBC Wealth Management-U.S. and the executive sponsor of the firm’s veterans-focused employee resource group. “That’s why RBC Wealth Management is proud to partner with Hirepurpose to help members of our military transition out of service and apply their unique skillset in the professional workforce.”
Hirepurpose screens, guides and matches military servicemen and women and their families with new jobs at partnering companies – like RBC Wealth Management-U.S. – after their military service is complete. Through the partnership, all of RBC Wealth Management’s job postings are pulled into a landing page on Hirepurpose’s website, which also provides information about RBC for job seekers. Additionally, as Hirepurpose representatives visit job fairs hosted by military bases throughout the year, they will share information about RBC opportunities with transitioning personnel.
“For many veterans, transitioning back or for the first time into the professional workforce can be a challenge,” said Hirepurpose CEO and co-founder Zach Iscol. “Partnering with organizations like RBC Wealth Management makes sense for everyone involved – veterans find opportunities that match the skills they developed during their service, and companies enhance their workforce by hiring quality candidates.”
In addition to career placement, Hirepurpose also provides résumé assistance and career counseling, and facilitates the job-searching process for veterans by pulling in current job postings from more than 100 partners in the Fortune 1000 list. Hirepurpose currently has more than 150,000 candidates registered to use its services.
