Private Wealth Strategies
Bill Ringham is vice president and director of private wealth strategies at RBC Wealth Management - U.S. He is based out of Minneapolis, and serves as a resource to financial advisors for understanding clients’ objectives, gathering information and determining strategies for high net worth clients’ complex financial and wealth transfer goals in the firm’s Central Division. He also manages the Wealth Strategies and Trust Consultant teams.
Ringham works with RBC Wealth Management financial advisors to develop appropriate wealth management solutions for clients with a focus on wealth transfer, including trust and estate planning, business succession planning, charitable planning and stock option planning. Ringham works with clients’ attorneys, accountants and other professionals to implement strategies that meet clients’ financial objectives. He frequently leads seminars and educational presentations for clients and groups on a variety of wealth strategies topics, as well as moderates classes for financial advisors as part of RBC Wealth Management’s Accredited Wealth Manager program.
Before joining RBC Wealth Management in 2000, Ringham spent 20 years in the financial services industry. He previously worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP, an international public accounting firm, where he focused on tax and planning for members of several family offices; Minnesota Life, a national life insurance company, where he served as an Advanced Marketing Counsel, assisting agents and their clients with advanced planning concepts; and Bremer Bank, a Midwest regional bank, where he was in charge of wealth planning capabilities and services.
Ringham graduated from St. Olaf College, in Northfield, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from William Mitchell College of Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a J.D. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and maintains securities licenses, series 7 and 66.
