As lead strategist for the U.S. Fixed Income Strategies Group, Craig Bishop sets the firm’s views on rates and credit and represents these views as the U.S. fixed income spokesperson on the Global Portfolio Advisory Committee (GPAC), which provides strategic analysis of financial markets and guidance on asset allocation and portfolio construction.

As a member of GPAC, Mr. Bishop is a regular contributor to the Global Insight Monthly as well as the monthly Municipal Market Insight reports. Mr. Bishop also works extensively with financial advisors in portfolio structuring and analysis, identifying and implementing market strategies. He routinely shares GPAC’s outlook on the fixed income markets with clients, highlighting where the opportunities are for investors in the current market environment.

Mr. Bishop has 35 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. His career includes experience in retail and institutional sales, trading and marketing/portfolio analysis of all fixed income products. His special area of expertise is with taxable products — specifically, mortgage-backed securities, corporate bonds, U.S. Treasury and Agency securities, CDs and money market instruments.

Mr. Bishop earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in economics from Illinois State University.
