Victor Chao is the Head of Private Banking, North Asia, at RBC Wealth Management Asia. In this role, he is responsible for leading the private banking business team in North Asia, deepening relationships and accelerating client strategies for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Victor has more than 25 years of wealth management experience in Asia, including over 10 years with Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, where he led a Greater China coverage team with over 70 members as a China Market Group Head.
Prior to Credit Suisse, Victor was a Greater China Team Head at Julius Baer. He previously worked for Deutsche Bank in Shanghai and Taiwan, as well as Citi in Taiwan and Hong Kong, where he covered private banking clients from Taiwan and Thailand. Before joining Citi, Victor was a Vice President of J.P. Morgan (Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York) in both Hong Kong and New York.
Victor holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
