RBC Race for the Kids 2021 – Supporting youth in Hong Kong and Singapore

RBC Race for the Kids is a family fun run that started as a single event in 2009 and has expanded to a series of charitable races supporting children and youth-focused causes across the globe.

Since its inception, the RBC Race for the Kids events have hosted more than 325,000 participants and raised over C$73 million for youth-focused initiatives around the world.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RBC’s in-person races pivoted to one global, virtual event to unite participants around the world to continue to raise much-needed funds for charity partners and the youth they support.

In 2021, RBC Race for the Kids’ 35,000+ participants raised over C$8 million for 35 youth-focused charities in 19 countries.

In Hong Kong, RBC Race for the Kids raised more than HK$230,000 to support the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong. The funds are used by the organization to support the Community Creative Learning Centre and the Child Development Fund-Growing Partners II. Both projects help children develop their abilities, ultimately helping them enhance their chances for upward mobility.

The RBC Race for the Kids event in Singapore raised a record-setting S$69,000+ for Singapore Children’s Society. The charitable organization supports and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions, helping them with everything from coping with the COVID-19 pandemic to protecting them against sexual abuse.

When talking about the RBC Race for the Kids event, Singapore Children’s Society says, “This support played a vital role in helping us tide through 2021, which continued to be challenging from the long-tailed effects of COVID-19.
