Kamran Azim

Kamran Azim is chief operating officer (COO), RBC Wealth Management Asia and also serves as deputy chief executive officer (CEO), RBC Singapore Branch.

Based in Singapore, Kam plays a key role in setting and executing the strategic direction of RBC’s wealth management business in Asia. He leads the business management and front office support functions and is committed to building lasting relationships and providing the best possible client experience. Kam’s teams span Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Kam joined RBC in 2007 and began his career at RBC Capital Markets where he supported the energy sales and trading desk. In 2017, he was appointed head of credit, RBC Wealth Management Asia and International where he led teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and London. Prior to this, he held various roles at RBC as part of the Capital Markets’ global credit team and Private Banking where he gained expertise in complex credit, risk management and finance.

Kam has been a member of the RBC Diversity Leadership Council in Canada and the UK and was most recently on the board of Career Edge, an organization which helps launch careers through paid internships in Canada.

He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and is also a member of the CFA Institute.
