Kamran Azim is Head of Private Banking, Singapore and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RBC Singapore Branch.

Based in Singapore, Kamran plays a key role in driving the development and execution of RBC’s wealth management business in Southeast Asia. Leading the team of market heads and private bankers in Singapore, Kamran is committed to building lasting relationships and providing the best possible client experience.  

Kamran joined RBC in 2008 and began his career at RBC Capital Markets where he supported the energy sales and trading desk. In 2017, he was appointed Head of Credit, RBC Wealth Management Asia and International where he led teams in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London. In January 2020, Kamran was appointed VP, Head of Global Credit and Cash Management for Wealth Management.

Since his appointment as chief operating officer, RBC Wealth Management Asia in 2022, Kamran has led the business management and front office functions across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia to drive key strategic growth initiatives, and implemented enhancements to meet the complex needs of clients. Kamran and his team also help develop and execute the business strategy for RBC Wealth Management in Asia.

Prior to this, he held various roles at RBC as part of the Capital Markets’ global credit team and Private Banking where he gained expertise in complex credit, risk management and finance.

Kamran graduated from the University of Toronto with a bachelor’s degree in economics and is also a member of the CFA Institute.
