Hal Catherwood

Hal joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2005 as a Divisional Director helping to set up our Belfast office. In 2007 he became head of office and in 2011 was promoted to Regional Director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Following an acquisition in Dublin in 2012, Hal subsequently became Regional Director for Ireland and the Channel Islands. In 2019 he took over as Chairman of RBC Brewin Dolphin Wealth Management Ireland and oversaw the acquisition and integration of Investec’s wealth business in Ireland into our own operations. In 2020 Hal became Regional Managing Director for the UK and Ireland with responsibility for our core integrated wealth management business and branch network.

Hal is a Fellow of the Securities Institute, has a degree in Applied Economics and is a graduate of the Oxford University Said Business School Advanced Management and Leadership Programme.
