RBC Wealth Management names new Director of Houston complex

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (July 18, 2017) – RBC Wealth Management, one of the nation’s largest full-service wealth management firms, today named Charles R. Carson as director of the Houston complex, according to Darryl Traweek, director of RBC Wealth Management’s west division. In that role, Carson will be responsible for four branches and more than 40 financial advisors.

Carson has 26 years of industry experience and joined RBC Wealth Management from Wells Fargo Private Bank where he most recently held the role of Regional Brokerage Manager. He joined the industry in 1991 as a financial adviser, then held a variety of managerial roles.

“Charles is a highly qualified and motivated leader who has achieved an incredible amount of success in recruiting and growing revenue,” said Traweek.  “His industry knowledge, leadership skills and experience make him a great fit to grow and lead our Houston-area offices.”

As Houston complex director, Carson will oversee the West Houston, Houston Center, Houston Galleria and Sugar Land branches.
