MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (October 2, 2017) – RBC Wealth Management – U.S. today announced industry veteran Michael Parker will join the firm as head of Advisor Recruiting. Formerly of Hightower Advisors, Parker will take the firm’s recent surge in hiring to the next level, with a focus on building the strongest network of financial advisors in the U.S.

“Over the past year we’ve made numerous investments in technology and people, all with the goal of strengthening the advisor-client relationship,” said Michael Armstrong, CEO of RBC Wealth Management. “That story of growth is resonating with some of the top talent in the industry.”

“We are just wrapping up one of our best recruiting years on record,” said Tom Sagissor, president of RBC Wealth Management – U.S. “With a skilled business development executive like Michael Parker leading the charge, we will build on that momentum.”

At Hightower Advisors, Parker served as executive vice president and chief development officer. He was also the architect of an award-winning practice management platform.

Parker is the latest in a series key leadership hires at RBC Wealth Management – U.S. over the past year. Other recent additions include Sean Kellenberger, head of Marketing; Amit Sahasrabudhe, head of Strategy & Technology; Ann Senne, head of Advice & Solutions; Angie O’Leary, head of Wealth Planning; and Bryan Mullin, head of Alternative Investments.
