RBC Wealth Management creates Texas complex

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (October 15, 2018) – RBC Wealth Management, one of the nation’s largest full-service wealth management firms, announces that the Houston and Dallas complexes will join together to form the new Texas complex. The new complex, which will be the largest complex in the firm, will be led by Andy Teller, currently the complex director in Dallas.

“With a proven track record of success and his exceptional leadership skills, Andy will lead the Texas complex in an exciting direction,” said Darryl Traweek, director of the West division. “He is outstanding at both recruiting and retaining financial advisors, and leverages all resources to create the best client experience possible.”

The Texas complex includes 13 branches in Austin, Dallas, Tyler, Fort Worth, Midland, San Antonio, Frisco, Longview, Sugar Land, Houston, West Houston, Houston Galleria, and Oklahoma City, OK. The complex has a total of 240 employees, including 140 financial advisors.

Teller, who has led the Dallas complex since 2005, has been honored as RBC Wealth Management’s Complex Director of the Year in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2016 as well as earning the Recruiting & Onboarding Award in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Under his leadership, the Dallas Complex was presented with the 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 Outstanding Complex Award, given to the top complex on their performance in areas of profitability, net revenue growth, net income, as well as other areas that determine complex excellence. Teller has also been named to On Wall Street’s Top 10 Branch Managers list and the publication’s Top 100 Branch Managers list.

Teller is incredibly active in the community, volunteering and serving on the Executive Board of SMU’s Meadows School of The Arts. He previously served as Chairman at TACA (The Arts Community Alliance), board member of Shelton School in Dallas, and the New York Military Academy. Additionally, under Teller’s direction, RBC became the title sponsor of the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas – a United States Tennis Association Pro Circuit International Men’s tournament, as well as the RBC Pro Challenge in Tyler, TX and supports the Little MO Nationals.
