16-year industry veteran sets aggressive plan for growth for market

HOUSTON (September 5, 2019) – RBC Wealth Management – U.S., one of the nation’s largest full-service wealth management firms, promoted financial advisor Rama Gali to the role of Houston Galleria branch director.

A 16-year veteran of the financial services industry, Gali joined RBC Wealth Management in its Sugar Land office earlier this year. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Before moving into the wealth management business, Gali did finance and strategic planning work in the tech industry.

“Rama exemplifies the kind of leadership needed in our industry today,” said Andy Teller, Texas complex director of RBC Wealth Management—U.S. “His strong track record of serving clients, coupled with his engineering and strategic planning background, allow him to view the role and the Houston market with a unique lens.”

Gali, who lives in Sugar Land with his wife, says he sees great growth potential for RBC Wealth Management in Houston. A top priority, he says, is to develop the Houston Galleria office by recruiting seasoned, high-quality financial advisors and making RBC Wealth Management a destination workplace by providing a supportive and success oriented work environment.

“Houston is the fourth-largest metro area in the country. It’s also an area which, thanks to the energy industry, generates a lot of wealth” Gali said. “RBC has a core competency in the energy, both in investment banking and market research. It’s a sector we understand well and I see great potential to grow by working with corporate executives and companies in that space.”
