Turner to oversee second-largest complex in RBC Wealth Management – U.S.’s
footprint, one key to firm’s overall growth

MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 28, 2020) – RBC Wealth Management – U.S. today promoted Kirstin Turner to the role of complex director for the firm’s newly created South Atlantic Complex, effective Nov. 1.

Created by combining the firm’s Atlanta and Florida complexes, the South Atlantic Complex is the second-largest region in the franchise, behind Texas, and is composed of 13 branches, 150 advisors and 85 support staff.

“As we continue to grow in the U.S., it’s imperative that we have the best leaders at the helm in our most promising markets,” said Pat Vaughan, East Division director for RBC Wealth Management – U.S. “Kirstin has served as RBC Wealth Management’s Florida Complex director since 2013, during which time she established a solid track record of growth. Combining Florida and Atlanta into one complex under her leadership positions us for further success in those markets.”

During her time as Florida Complex director, Turner expanded into four new markets – Miami, Sarasota, Boca Raton and Stuart – and increased the number of new advisors in her region by 140%. She also nearly tripled revenue in her complex and more than doubled the average production per advisor.

“This new complex holds a lot of people and a lot of territory, so it’s certainly a bigger role than I had previously,” Turner said. “I love problem solving and helping advisors take their practices to the next level. That’s how we grew in Florida, and I’m looking forward to bringing that same focus to the larger South Atlantic region, as well.”

In addition to her leadership role within the firm, Turner is also a long-time mentor to others in the industry and is an active member of the RBC WM-U.S. Women’s Association of Financial Advisors (WAFA). She is a strong community leader, hosting educational events and serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations in her community. She is a member of Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Coastal Conservation Association, Compassion International and the Loggerhead Marine Life Center. She was raised in Florida and is a graduate of Florida State University. She lives in Jupiter, Florida, with her husband, Telby, and their three children.

“The energy and enthusiasm Kirstin brings as a leader is inspiring,” said Tom Sagissor, president of RBC Wealth Management – U.S. “I am excited for her to take on the challenge of combining these two complexes and continuing to grow the RBC Wealth Management brand in the Southeast.”
