MINNEAPOLIS, November 23, 2022 – Jaime Sahlstrom, senior vice president and financial advisor in RBC Wealth Management’s Minneapolis branch, has been named the recipient of the firm’s 2022 Gail Winslow Award.

The annual award recognizes women at RBC Wealth Management who demonstrate exemplary efforts to help attract, support and retain women financial advisors and clients. Sahlstrom received the award at the firm’s Women’s Association of Financial Advisors (WAFA) conference in Minneapolis on Nov. 10.

Sahlstrom joined RBC Wealth Management six years ago and in that time has been heavily involved in the WAFA group as well as the broader community. She has actively supported events and organizations that empower girls and women, and has been a mentor to young students learning about business. Her team focuses on engaging in the community through causes that support children, families and girls in sports.

“It takes a leap of faith to pick up your practice and move your whole life from one firm to another,” Sahlstrom says. “But all of the leaders at RBC have been here for me from the start and they really have a vested interest in my growth and success.”

Wally Chapman, RBC Wealth Management Central Divisional Director, says Sahlstrom’s support for other women at the firm, her involvement in the WAFA Ambassador program – which supports recruiting efforts – and community volunteerism have been critical.

“The award celebrates women who live out our RBC core values every day and Jaime is deserving of that recognition,” he says. “I love her passion for the business and the way she not only takes care of her clients, but her colleagues and her community.”

The Gail Winslow Award was established in honor and memory of Gail Winslow, a former RBC Wealth Management financial advisor who was a trailblazer for 60 years in the financial services industry.
