As the head of U.S. Wealth Management Banking and Lending, Fred is responsible for creating lending solutions to meet the financing needs of clients, as well as cash capabilities to allow clients to manage their finances holistically at RBC.

Since Fred joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018, he has built RBC Credit Access Line (CAL), a securities-based lending solution that allows clients to borrow against their taxable investment portfolio to address a broad range of financing needs. Fred created and leads the wealth management banking team that helps financial advisors position cash and credit to their clients, and he launched the firm’s tailored lending program for high net worth clients with complex credit needs. He continues to expand the firm’s Banking and Lending capabilities to best serve clients.

Before joining RBC, Fred co-founded Supernova Technology, a leading fintech provider of securities-based lending solutions. Fred’s role as EVP of Advisor Solutions was to establish enterprise partnerships, and Supernova is now used by most of the top wealth management firms and banks in the U.S.

Prior to his time at Supernova, Fred was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Merrill Lynch.

Fred serves on the board for the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, a trusted resource for families in times of crisis. He regularly participates in the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Credit and Lending Services Roundtable.

Fred earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He lives in Minnesota with his wife and two sons and is a coach in his local basketball, baseball and football associations.
