As director of the Private Client Group’s West division, Kristen Kimmell oversees financial advisors and client-facing professionals in branch offices in California, Oregon and Washington.

Kristen started her career at Marquette Bancshares before spending 25 years at RBC in roles across Capital Markets and Wealth Management. Her leadership roles at RBC Wealth Management included Chief of Staff, Head of Liquidity and Lending Solutions, and Head of Advisor Recruiting and Field Marketing. In 2021 she joined Osaic as executive vice president of Business Development. In 2026, Kristen returned to RBC Wealth Management to focus on her true passion – helping financial advisors grow their business and deliver exceptional experiences to clients.

Kristen is a long-standing champion for women in financial services. She has served as co-executive sponsor of the RBC Wealth Management Women’s Association of Financial Advisors (WAFA) and is actively involved in the organization. She has been a mentor to many women and men and is committed to growing the next generation of talent.

Kristen is often featured in national and trade media for her thought leadership. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration from the University of Jamestown. She has passed the FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 exams.
