Head, Portfolio Advisory Group–U.S.
As Head of Portfolio Advisory Group (PAG) U.S., Sean leads a team focused on discretionary portfolio management, portfolio construction, and security selection. He previously led the PAG U.S. Equity team that manages equity portfolios for advisors to help clients meet their financial goals and objectives.
Sean joined RBC in 2017 and has more than 20 years of financial services experience.
Prior to joining RBC, Sean covered consumer staples and consumer discretionary stocks for 10 years at Piper Sandler in Minneapolis. As a senior equity research analyst, Sean’s coverage specifically focused on athletic apparel/ footwear as well as retail grocery and packaged food companies. Sean’s stock picking and earnings accuracy were recognized by The Wall Street Journal and StarMine on three different occasions. During this time, he was often quoted in media and industry trade publications. Prior to Piper Sandler, Sean spent a year in Target’s financial leadership development program, focusing on capital investment decisions.
Sean completed his undergraduate degree in international affairs at Lafayette College and earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and passed the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 exams.
