Steve Harrop

As regional director of RBC Dominion Securities in British Columbia, Steve Harrop is dedicated to empowering investment advisors and their teams to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes for HNW clients. Drawing on his extensive experience in wealth management, Steve fosters a culture of growth ensuring advisor teams have the tools, technology, and support they need to navigate evolving client needs.

Steve spent the first decade of his career focused on derivatives markets, before joining RBC Dominion Securities as an Investment Advisor in 2010. Since joining the management team in 2014, Steve has advanced through progressively senior roles in Toronto and Vancouver, earning recognition for his expertise, leadership, and community commitment.  He was appointed Regional Director of BC in 2025.  

A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Steve has continued his education within the investment industry, as well as in the field of technology, through the Singularity University Executive Program.  He has a deep interest in the convergence of technology and people in the wealth management industry.
