Vice President and Regional Director, British Columbia
RBC Dominion Securities
As vice president and regional director, British Columbia, Chris Oosthuizen is guided by RBC’s overarching purpose: to help clients thrive and communities prosper. He leads a team that features many of British Columbia’s most accomplished investment advisors, portfolio managers and branch directors—serving clients from more than 15 branches throughout the province.
Over the last two decades, Chris has overseen remarkable growth in our business, as it transformed into full-service wealth management, offering investment advice, discretionary portfolio management and in-depth wealth planning. Today, as British Columbia’s largest wealth manager, we are entrusted with more than $87 billion in client assets.
Since first joining RBC Dominion Securities in 1993, Chris has taken on increasingly senior positions. First, as an advisor helping clients, then as a manager assisting other advisors to grow their practices.
Chris holds a Master of Business Administration degree and two Honours Baccalaureate degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He’s part of the St. Paul’s Foundation leadership team, raising funds to help build a new hospital.
