Richard Ivey School of Business—Western University
I currently hold the position of Senior Credit Analyst on the Canadian Investment Grade Corporate Debt team, where I am directly involved in the management of 12 funds representing nearly $17B in CAD investment grade corporate debt. My day-to-day involves credit analysis (making specific recommendations on investment opportunities and authoring credit reports), trading bonds in both primary and secondary markets and assisting with portfolio management decisions (e.g., sector allocation and duration exposure). I also regularly contribute to our month Credit Strategy Committee meetings, where I assess macro considerations including recession and default risk, credit cycle positioning and expectations around valuations and market technical.
My experience has been wonderful. I joined RBC in 2014 as a Wealth Management Generalist and it was the best decision I ever made. I rotated through a variety of areas, including;

Associate Investment Counsellor
RBC PH&N Investment Counsel
Schulich School of Business, York University
In my role with RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, one of Canada’s leading investment counselling firms, I provide holistic investment and wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners, foundations and not-for-profit organizations. Employing a firm-led discretionary investment management approach, I delve deep into the unique personal circumstances of my clients to provide tailor-made solutions that consider their financial goals, risk tolerance and ongoing needs.
During my tenure in the Wealth Management Generalist Program, I had the opportunity to cross-train across RBC’s global wealth management organization, working with the Fixed Income Portfolio Advisory Group at RBC Dominion Securities, both the North American Equities investment team and Exchange Traded Funds product group at RBC Global Asset Management, and the Portfolio Implementation group at RBC PH&N Investment Counsel. I consider my time in the program to be one of the most transformative and rewarding professional development experiences in my career to date, as I had the opportunity to develop a solid technical foundation in investment management, an intimate understanding of RBC’s global wealth management businesses and a strong professional network across the organization. With the opportunity to work with and learn from senior leaders during each rotation, I completed the program with the knowledge, skills and experience that not only made me marketable for roles in my areas of interest, but also prepared me to hit the ground running in my first role out of the program.
