Cal Malhiot is vice president and regional director of RBC Dominion Securities, Alberta. His primary focus is to help branch managers, investment advisors and their teams in any way he can. This includes addressing investment and wealth management needs to better serve our clients to supporting the career progression of team members within the firm.
In 1995, he began his career at the firm as an investment advisor at the Regina branch and five years later, he assumed the role of branch manager. In 2002, he became branch manager of the Edmonton Commerce Place branch, and he moved to Calgary in 2007 to manage the Calgary Dome Tower branch.
Cal was appointed to his current role as regional director in 2014. In January 2021, his regional responsibilities grew to include Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Regina and worked with Saskatchewan’s Department of Finance before joining RBC Dominion Securities.
Cal has volunteered his time to many organizations over the years, including the Calgary Stampede, Trout Unlimited, the Investment Dealers Association and the Straight from the Heart YMCA Capital Campaign.
